Hypnotic Folk
An Eagle in your Mind distills a folk bristling with heavy percussion, hypnotic delays, 70 'synths and exotic drones. An hypnotic folk at the crossroads of desert blues, electronic music, psychedelic rock and sacred music. Paradoxical alchemy between so many heterogeneous elements, An Eagle in your Mind likes to blur the borders. It's a nomad duo that pursues music as a journey, a thirst for horizon and light.
Since 2016 it is on the roads of Europe and Africa that the duo composes and records. Along the way, the duo surrounds itself with a colorful and flourishing instrumentarium: guembri (acoustic bass that accompanies the songs of healers from Sudan to Morocco), Indian harmonium, dreadnought guitar, banjo, Berber or Brazilian percussion, drum machine, synthesizers, etc.
From this base the duo brings out a modern folk, suffused with electric tension.
An Eagle in your Mind distille une folk hérissée de percussions lourdes, de delays hypnotiques, de synthés 70' et de drones exotiques. Une folk hypnotique à la croisée du blues désertique, des musiques éléctroniques, du rock psychédélique et de la musique sacrée.. Alchimie paradoxale entre autant d'éléments hétéroclites, An Eagle in your Mind aime brouiller les frontières. C'est un duo nomade qui poursuit la musique comme un voyage, une soif d'horizon et de lumière.
Depuis 2016 c'est sur les routes d'Europe et d'Afrique que le duo compose et enregistre. Au gré des chemins, le duo s'entoure d'un instrumentarium bigarré et florissant : guembri (basse acoustique qui accompagne les chants de guérisseurs depuis le Soudan jusqu'au Maroc), harmonium indien, guitare dreadnought, banjo, percussions berbères ou brésiliennes, boite à rythme, synthétiseurs, etc
De cette base le duo fait émerger une folk moderne, nimbée de tension électrique.
